LocalPlay ("we", "our", "the Service") is a web and messaging service that helps parents find family-friendly activities in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) area of North Carolina.

- Email address: Provided during early-access signup
- Phone number: If you use our messaging service (coming soon)
- Zip code: To show nearby playgrounds and events based on your location preferences
- Age groups: General age ranges of your children (e.g., "toddler", "school-age") to personalize recommendations
- Session cookies: To maintain your session and preferences within the app
- Search history: What you've searched for, to improve the service
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Children's names
- Exact birthdates
- Home addresses
- Photos or media
- Payment information
- Any other personally identifiable information about your children
How We Use Your Information
- To provide personalized playground and activity recommendations
- To send you responses to your queries within the app or via messaging
- To improve our service based on aggregate usage patterns
Data Storage
Your information is stored securely on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure in the United States. We retain your data while you actively use the service. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@getlocalplay.com or through the app.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with:
- Service providers: Cloud hosting (Microsoft Azure), messaging providers (as applicable) as needed to operate the service
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect safety
Children's Privacy
LocalPlay is designed for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. We only collect general age group information (not specific ages or birthdates) to provide age-appropriate recommendations.
